Your information

What Selkie House keeps about you here, who can see it, and what can be done with it. This covers this portal only — the public Selkie House website has its own, separate policy.

What is kept about you

Your name and email address, which house you live in, and the date you moved in — and the date you moved out, if you have.

Every charge and every payment recorded against you: the amount, the date, and what it was for.

If something was recorded by mistake and corrected, the original entry stays, marked as voided, with the reason it was corrected. You can see those corrections too.

A cancelled entry can also be put back, if cancelling it was itself the mistake. Both the cancelling and the putting back are listed on your history page, each with its date and the reason staff gave, and that list is kept by the database rather than by this website — nobody can edit it or remove an entry from it.

That is the whole list.

What is not kept

Nothing about your health, your treatment, or any substance use. There is no field for it anywhere in this system, so there is nowhere for it to be written even by accident.

Who can see it

You, and Selkie House staff. Nobody else — not other residents, not anyone who happens to find this page.

That is not simply a matter of which screens exist. The database itself refuses to return your records to anyone but you and staff, so it holds even if something on this website were built wrongly.

What staff can and cannot do

Staff can record a charge or a payment, and correct one by voiding it with a reason.

Staff cannot edit an amount, a date, or a description after it is recorded, and cannot delete anything. That is enforced by the database, not by this website. It means your history cannot be quietly rewritten, and any correction is visible to you.

Notices

Staff can post notices to your house or to both houses, and you see them when you sign in.

Nothing records whether you have read one. Staff can see who a notice was sent to, and that is all.

Where it is stored

On Supabase, a hosting provider that holds the database on Selkie House's behalf. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else.

Asking about your information

Everything held about you is on your own page, and you can look at it whenever you like.

If something looks wrong, or you want a copy, or you have a question about any of this, speak to Georgia. There is no button for it — it is a conversation.
